Jenius Bank – Alchemist | A New Design System
Jenius Bank had undergone several evolutions over the years, and by spring 2024, my team and I recognized it was time to refresh the mobile app. Our goal was to modernize the experience while preserving the visual cues and brand familiarity users trusted. The foundation was strong—our features worked well—but the product needed a more contemporary expression.

The Goal
Our goal was to modernize the design system by creating an entirely new component library for both iOS and Android. This work included refreshing the color palette, refining typography, and designing a new set of components that could scale across the product.
My Role
I played a key leadership role in building Alchemist, overseeing its creation, documentation, and implementation to ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

System Foundations
We started by defining the system’s core foundations—typography, color, spacing, and responsive behavior—establishing clear rules for consistency. From there, we designed a modular component set, including buttons, inputs, alerts, and layout elements, that could adapt to a wide range of use cases.

I partnered closely with product and engineering teams to continuously audit new components, ensuring the design system was visually polished, technically sound, and functioning as intended.

A Polished Design
Today, the design system meets modern aesthetic and usability standards. It is clean and polished, scales seamlessly across device sizes, functions reliably, meets ADA accessibility requirements, supports both light and dark modes, and is fully customized for iOS and Android.
